Thirty-One Bags ~ Giveaway #1

YEAH! So far we’ve received $230 in donations. That’s almost half-way to our goal! We’ve done lots of great shopping already as well.

My first giveaway is this awesome All In One Utility from Thirty-One Bags.

I purchased this bag this summer in preparation for doing a Favorite Things giveaway. I LOVE these bags. They are so well made and last a long time. I have a larger one that I use for my crocheting when I’m out and about. My daughter has one very similar to this one for her crocheting as well. The option to customize with embroidery makes it fun and personal. I am also in LOVE with the thermal cooler, it was the perfect thing to have for all the kids sports this year.

Now, here’s a fun bit – this bag is now RETIRED! Both the bag style AND print. Oh, and it’ll most likely come with some wonderful jams, jellies, and canned treats.

Drawing ends tonight at 9pm, Pacific. Winner will be announced first thing Wednesday morning. GOOD LUCK!

12 Days of Christmas Elves

I don’t have many regrets in life.  But, I do have one big one –  during the 4 years I lived in Chicago I wasn’t able to secure tickets to go and watch a filming of Oprah, and her “Favorite Things” episode.  I always loved the idea of being able to share some things you love with others.

Last year, a friend kicked off a Favorite Things fundraiser and I loved it.  I knew right then and there I wanted to do something similar.

This year has been a very challenging year, full of lots of changes and trials.  However I have been very blessed in many ways.  I wanted to find a way to share some of that joy with others, yet I didn’t have the funds to do so.  I also wanted to find a way to help my kids get into the joy of giving this Christmas season.

And then – ta da – the two ideas came together.   Hosting a Favorite Things fundraiser, sharing some of the things I love with others AND using the funds we raise to go towards helping my kids learn the joy of giving to others.

So here’s the drill – If we can collect $500, then I will start doing a giveaway a day.  They will be posted here on my new blog page.  Each day I will post a new item and you will be able to enter.  The money you donate will help cover the costs of the items given away and the rest will go towards the kids and I going to our local Giving Tree to see just how many people we can help this year.

I’m hoping to have it all funded by Friday so I can start my first giveaway that day – and truly hit a 12 days of Christmas.

Thanks for your help and support.  Let’s all work together to make this season merry and bright!  Click the link below to help.
